Hotel Information
Increasingly, wireless networks and the Internet are converging. Users
are
accessing the Internet via wireless networks, customers are linking
their
intranets to wireless carriers via the Internet, Internet protocols
are
being used within wireless networking infrastructures and voice
communications itself will soon be delivered using IP.
Internet standards are predominantly formalized by the Internet
Engineering Task Force (IETF) as requests for comments (RFCs). The
IETF is
involved in many new RFCs and activities that will have a broad impact
on
wireless networks. The significance and the scope of these IETF efforts
is
not well documented nor well understood.
The purpose of this meeting is to identify IETF efforts that have a
bearing on wireless networking, to identify areas where IETF work will
enhance the deployment of new wireless systems and applications, to
identify associated issues and problems and to develop recommendations.
Some specific areas of interest include:
8:00 AM to 10:00 AM - REVIEW OF PCCA PROGRAMS
The meeting will be held in a meeting room at Motorola. Meeting
details are being supplied to registrants only.
