BACKGROUND
The PCCA has conducted a number of workshops with GPRS and 1XRTT
networks, and has gained considerable insight into compatibility issues
and
usage considerations for enterprise applications and cellular data
networks.
Many member companies have done similar or related work.
The purpose of this meeting is to conduct another GPRS workshop,
emphasizing
VPN usage, and to analyze and develop recommendations on how enterprise
applications can best be used with these new networks.

PCCA meeting
may attend for a fee of $300 per person. This fee is waived under
special
circumstances.
INFORMATION FOR
PRESENTERS
The following information is for people presenting at this PCCA
meeting:

Presentations are typically 30 minutes to 45 minutes long unless
arranged
otherwise.
-
This is a technical audience, so please make the presentations
technical.
Emphasis
should be on industry issues and proposed solutions versus selling
your product.
- There is usually a 5 to 15 minute discussion following the
presentation.

We will provide an LCD projector.
-
The audience is technical, consisting mostly of engineering and program
managers.
-
Generally, 30 to 50 people attend each meeting, representing a broad
spectrum
of
the wireless industry, including carriers, infrastructure vendors,
device vendors,
software vendors and computer vendors.
- If you are presenting a technical contribution, please provide
hard copy
for attendees.
We will advise you on the number.
- We request a copy of your presentation (PDF or PPT) before the
meeting
so that we
can post it in the members area of the PCCA web page.
